We’ve all been there: one tweezer-happy moment turns into months (or years) of sparse, uneven brows. Whether you’re recovering from the 2000's skinny brow era or just got carried away “cleaning them up,” the good news is, you CAN grow your brows back. But it takes time, consistency, and the right strategy!
At Un-Stripped, we see this every day. So we’re sharing exactly how to reclaim your brows with the methods we use in-studio and the tips we teach our brow clients and students alike.
🧬 First: Why Won’t My Brows Grow Back?
Brows don’t regenerate like the hair on your head. Over-plucking damages the follicle, and repeated trauma (tweezing, waxing, or threading in the same spot) can cause it to stop producing hair altogether. Age, hormones, and skin health also play a role.
But! If the follicle isn’t completely dead, you’ve got options.
🌱 Step 1: Go Cold Turkey—Seriously
No tweezing. No trimming. No waxing (unless you’re reshaping around the area you’re trying to grow in). Leave them alone for at least 8–12 weeks. Yes, they’ll look wild. No, we don’t care. This is a sacred regrowth phase.
Pro Tip: Book a brow shaping or lamination with a pro during this time. We’ll clean up everything around the new growth to keep you looking polished—without sabotaging the goal.
💧 Step 2: Feed Your Follicles
Just like scalp hair, brows need nourishment.
• Use a growth serum (look for ingredients like peptides, biotin, and panthenol).
• Apply castor oil or argan oil at night to condition the hair and skin.
• Take collagen or biotin supplements to support hair from within.

🔍 Step 3: Be Patient, but Track Progress
Most people start seeing baby growth at the 6–8 week mark. Take pictures every 2 weeks so you notice the changes, even if they’re small. Regrowth doesn’t happen overnight—but it does happen.
🧭 Step 4: Get Strategic With Your Shaping
Once you’ve got growth happening, resist the urge to go DIY. Instead, work with a brow specialist (like us 💅) to:
• Map your ideal shape to your bone structure
• Use lamination or tinting to fill in weak spots
• Avoid over-trimming or waxing the “wrong” hairs
We offer nano brows, lamination, tinting, and corrective shaping—all designed to make the most of what you do have while guiding the regrowth journey.
🖊️ Step 5: Fill Without Faking
While your brows are growing back, use makeup to fill them in, but don’t overdo it. Choose products that give a hair-like effect (think brow pens, powders, or tinted gels). Avoid harsh stencils or overly defined arches. Soft, natural definition will always look more expensive.
✨ What If They STILL Don’t Grow Back?
If your follicles are truly done for, there are still solutions. We specialize in nano realism brow tattoos—a hyper-realistic technique that mimics real hair strokes for a natural, long-lasting result.
Still unsure what’s best for you? Send us a message, bring in your current products, or let us map your brows during your next appointment!
